The Belle Commodore is a heavy-duty diesel site mixer built for contractors mixing concrete and mortar in volume, day after day, on sites with no mains power. Choose from three sizes: 5/3 (1900 x 1300 x 900mm, 418kg), 7/5 (1900 x 1415 x 900mm, 423kg) or 10/7 (1850 x 1430 x 900mm, 438kg). Every model runs on a Stage 5-compliant Yanmar L48 electric-start diesel engine, turning the gated paddle drum at a steady 19rpm for even, reliable mixing. Sealed gearbox, foot-operated tip-lock and a parking brake come as standard across the range.
If you’re mixing by hand or running a small electric mixer flat out to keep up with a groundworks or brickwork gang, the Belle Commodore is the upgrade. It’s a diesel-driven, self-contained mixer that doesn’t care whether there’s a generator on site or a socket within a hundred metres of where you’re working. Fill it, start it, and it keeps producing batch after batch of consistent concrete or mortar until the job’s done.

Yes, it’s designed to be manoeuvred by a single operator using its integral wheels, though given the weight (418–438kg depending on model), it’s worth planning firm, level ground for positioning rather than moving it repeatedly across soft or uneven terrain.
The gated paddle drum is designed primarily for concrete and mortar mixes. It can handle render mixes too, but for very fine screed work, you may get a smoother finish from a mixer designed specifically for that purpose,ask our team if you’re unsure for your specific mix.
No specific licence is required to operate it, though, as with any diesel plant, basic site safety training and following the manufacturer’s operating instructions are recommended, particularly around refuelling and the tipping mechanism.
The Commodore isn’t a road-tow mixer with a braked chassis; it’s designed to be loaded onto a trailer or truck bed for transport between sites, rather than towed on the public highway. If you need a mixer that tows behind a vehicle, our Belle AT350 is built for that.

It’s built for exactly that. As a diesel machine, you’ll need to refuel periodically rather than running off a single tank all day, but there’s no duty-cycle restriction stopping you from running it back-to-back through a full shift.
It largely comes down to how many mixing cycles you need per hour. If your crew is placing concrete faster than a 5/3 can keep up with, the 7/5 reduces the number of batches you need to run to hit the same output, useful when labour time waiting on the mixer is your bottleneck, not material cost.
