You don’t need a separate system for this. The gate is designed to integrate with standard steel hoarding panels and temporary mesh fencing, using the same feet, clips and stabilisers you already use along the run. The castor wheel carries the weight of the leaf as it opens, so it glides rather than dragging, even on rough or sloping ground. Set it up, level it, and it becomes a permanent-feeling entrance that you can still lift out and move when the site layout changes.
The gate is supplied as the leaf and frame on its own. To fix it into a hoarding run, you’ll need rubber fence feet for the gate legs and fencing clips to tie the adjoining panels to it. These are sold separately, which keeps the price down if you already have spares on site, but it’s worth checking your stock before the gate arrives so you’re not held up on the day.
The walk-through gap is slightly narrower than the overall 1.2m panel width, because the frame and hinge take up a little space on each side. It comfortably handles foot traffic, wheelbarrows and most hand trolleys. If you need to guarantee a specific clear width, for wheelchair access or larger equipment, for example, confirm the exact opening with us before ordering.
It has a lockable bolt as standard, so you can secure it closed during the working day with no extra hardware. For overnight or out-of-hours security, the bolt is designed to take a padlock; the padlock itself isn’t supplied, so add one to suit how secure the site needs to be.
Yes, the solid steel face takes a fixed sign or banner well, and many sites brand the entrance this way. Just bear in mind that adding sheeting or large boards turns the gate into a sail in high wind, so make sure the feet are properly weighted and the run is stabilised if you’re covering it.
At around 40kg, one strong person can manoeuvre, but two people make installation and levelling much easier and safer, especially when threading the legs into the feet and clipping it to the panels’ either side. Once it’s in and the castor is taking the weight, day-to-day opening and closing is easily a one-person task.
